Using Microsoft Office Smart Tags with Lotus Notes
Smart Tags, a feature in Microsoft® Office XP, makes it easier to complete some of the most common tasks by recognizing certain types of text in a document, such as a person's name, and then offering related functions and commands.

Smart Tag indicators usually display as a dotted line under text. When you mouse over text that has an indicator, the Smart Tag action button appears. You can then click the action button and choose one of the available options. You can use Smart Tags in Microsoft Word documents to send IBM® Lotus Notes® mail, show name details, or invite the person to a meeting.

In order for this feature to work, Microsoft Word must be configured to use Smart Tags. For information on setting up Microsoft Word Smart Tags, see your Microsoft Word documentation.

Note: When setting up Smart Tags, make sure the options Lotus Notes Recognizer and Person Name are checked.

Perform the following steps to use Smart Tags:

1. Point to the text indicated as a Smart Tag.

2. Click Smart Tag and then click one of these actions:
